This will be brief (maybe?). We’ve traveled about 24 hours, slept less than an hour, and are now in Rome, having dinner in a restaurant by the Colosseum while others are having breakfast in Portland. The world is a strange place sometimes, huh?
By the way, the food was delicious!
We flew to Iceland then a 2 hour layer then to Rome. A lovely limo van service brought us to our rented 3 bedroom apartment right next to the colosseum.

We walked around some and took some lovely photos. The energy in Rome is upbeat and palpable and there are TONS of tourists for mid November/low season.
