Ready for Asia Part 2??

We are!

We are on our way, via Amsterdam….to…

I started planning this trip as soon as we returned from our summer trip to Asia. I was bit by the travel bug, of course! The first part of that planning was to note S’s passport expired March 2024 so I made an appointment from Bali, for an august appointment so that with expedited passport service, we would have a window where we weren’t stressing about having his passport on time. (See this is the advantage of being an organized type A 😜).

Then I started researching where in India we wanted to go and who we wanted to hire as our tour company. Rajasthan has always been high on my list and I’ve never been. And though I’ve been to the Taj Mahal, I couldn’t take my kids to India for the first time without taking them there.

It’s been about 20 years since I’ve last been to India so I’m curious to see how it’s changed.

This time, for a shorter trip, we are only traveling with carry ons—a roller suitcase and bag pack each. It’s a first—let’s see how it goes!!

The night before last, I had fevers and chills and muscle aches all night, but threatening to derail my trip. I think it was some type of GI bug. I took yesterday off, lay around all day (again, advantage of having packed 2 weeks ago!) and hydrated, and felt well enough this morning to swim. Got a notice this morning that our flight is 2 hours delayed (freezing fog in Amsterdam) and was grateful that we decided to fly today instead of yesterday as a lot of flights were canceled there today.

More later… wish me luck with this two kiddos! One of them is already a handful right now…keeping traveling with kids real here.
