At Heathrow after family good byes

Even though we had a 330pm flight, it was a hectic morning. Z woke at 1am and was up much of the night as was I. Luckily he slept a few hours from 5-8am and seems to be in a good mood.

Much of the morning was spent packing, weighing and re-organizing luggage. In the end, we have 2 suitcases pretty close to the 50lb limit and 1 that was about 35lbs to check.

The kids went over to their cousins’ to say good bye and played one last soccer video game and after some more hugs, we were off,

It took us almost 2 hours to get to the airport due to an accident and pretty bad traffic, but we arrived with plenty of time as my fabulous cousin had planned it well.

Me and my cousin Neena

We are now checked in, through security, and waiting for our lunch. Pizza, of course (for the kids); gyoza and ribbed corn for me. Our flight boards in 45 minutes and departs in a bit over 1.5 hours from now (hopefully).

Kinda crazy that this is the end of a 9 week journey. I’ll have more thoughts on that later, I’m sure. Right now, the adrenaline of getting through all the airport steps is allowing me to push through my tiredness (and a minor cold I seem to have caught).
