The Terrific3 travel blog

It was a looong almost 24 hours of travel, but we made it to London at 530am today.

Singapore airlines has got to be the most incredible airline I’ve ever flown. Our 50 minute transit time in Singapore was easily accomplished, they let us bypass the line as a family with young kids to board, the service was impeccable, the food was amazing (kids had child vegetarian and I had Indian vegetarian meals the whole way). One of our bags didn’t make the transit but by the time I deplaned in London, I had an email, a text and a person waiting for me outside the gate letting me know that it was on the next flight to land 2 hours later. A few hours after that, they delivered it to us at our address.

The best part about being in London (besides the familiarity—I was born here, lived here for a few years of my childhood, and visited often) was meeting family, and especially my kids meeting a side of their family they had not met before. It was sweet for me and them.

In the meantime, I’m off to bed while I have 2 kids sleeping. Both kids slept on the airline, but only 5-6 hours and have been up since 1am London time. I was sitting between them so was either getting elbowed or kicked every 5 minutes so wasn’t really able to sleep. But I’m really hoping to do so tonight so we can enjoy the glorious weather that we apparently brought to London,
