Last day in Chiang Mai

Our Airbnb host Jan

Our last day in Chiang Mai—Z and I ran this morning, the boys played in the pool (well, mostly fought, but some playing), and our Airbnb host left us a very sweet note and got these 2 lovely Chiang Mai t-shirts for the boys. We are so lucky to have found this as home base. And packing everything up today, I was SO glad we didn’t have to do that multiple times during a month. It’s a lot!

This is our Airbnb listing in case anyone wants to book here in the future. https://abnb.me/Hl4fMRkwpBb

I suspect feelings were high today about leaving Thailand, especially for S, who gets jarred by transitions and uncertainty. I could tell he was more unsettled today, and that led to more conflict with his brother, who has been his own flavor of spicy lately, but the two unsettled together was extra spicy at times. I reminded them that if they wanted that nice dinner and dessert they had requested, I needed to not be exhausted by dinnertime, and that helped a bit.

We all got in home massages in the afternoon, which was so lovely!!

Then we went out to dinner at S’s favorite restaurant—Mr Chan and Ms Pauline—he likes it because it’s air conditioned (no bugs), has good pizza and dessert. I asked the kids to do a selfie video tape during dinner about our favorite things in Thailand, and the things that surprised us. Here is the cute 5 minute video below, which took many tries to upload! (Removed due to lack of memory on site, sorry!)
